The Roanoke Church of the Brethren has been around since 1892. We trace our roots back to Schwarzenau Germany, where our denomination was started 300 yrs. ago by Alexander Mack.
The Brethren use the New Testament as our creed as we endeavor to put Christ Jesus first and foremost as our guide, example, and measuring stick.
We follow the words of the Prophet Micah as we choose "To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with our God."
We are not a perfect people but a forgiven people. We enjoy fellowship, laughter, and a family atmosphere. We are not here to judge or chastise, but to love, comfort, and grow in God's Wisdom. We are a small church with a huge heart...come and visit and feel the presence of the Lord!

Kristie D. Prejean has been our licensed pastor since Oct. 21, 2007. Kristie was born and raised in the Roanoke Church of the Brethren. Upon completion she will be an Ordained Minister. Kristie's desire is for ALL people to come to know Christ as Lord, Savior, and Friend!
Kristie has been married to Matt Prejean for 30 years and they have two wonderful children; Kasey Elizabeth (28) and Nicholas Ian (25). Matt and Kristie also provide a home for 3 dogs; Paisan (Italian Spinone), Milo (Minature Schnauzer) and Sasse (Pug).
